I locked myself out of my house Christmas eve. Ha. Ha
Ha
Anyway. A wonderful locksmith from Pine City NY took pity on me. I called all the whitepages.com numbers for locksmiths and only he answered. (Yeesh should have called him last night!) He was going to say that his on-call locksmith is on holiday. Then I begged him for any ideas, anything that could help me, he thought for a microsecond and said, yes, I have a Bob for you. And Bob came and opened my door on Christmas Day. Thank you God, and Bob and Ray's locksmith services.
I knew God would open my door for me.
I am currently obsessing over Japanese movies.
Here are my favorites and ones I'd love love love to watch when it comes out:
1) Departures (by director Yojiro Takita)
2) Like Father like son (director Hirakazu Kore-eda)
3) Other movies by those two
4) Wasabi. Although technically it's not real Japanese.
Haruki Murakami is also an interesting novelist. I've only read IQ84 and would like to get into the Wind up Bird chronicles, Kafka on the shore and Norwegian Wood. He also had a movie Tony Takitani that they showed in Calvin.
I always mix him up with Kazuo Ishiguro who wrote Never Let me Go.
Merry Christmas from me, to you.
